As a new business, I don't have the money (or even the need most of the time) to hire anyone to help me in the shop, so most of the time I am here all by myself. Up until about six months ago, I worked in an office with lots of other people, and there are days when I miss that. But I am thankful that I get to be here in this quaint old building surrounded by all this great stuff, listening to great old music, meeting people from all over (yesterday someone from Connecticut was in the shop). Yes... this is good. A little quiet right now, but good. I have time to take more pictures.

Hi! Your shop is soo cute! Wish I was in NC so I could visit! Oh well, I'll have to settle for your blog! Thanks for visiting me on mine! Have a great day.-Christine
What an adorable shop!!! You should be so very proud of yourself. I am beaming with pride over here in St. Louis, and I haven't met you. I feel your joy, your worries, your pride, your happiness and I am so very happy for you. Best advice at this stage that I can lend you is not to count your daily sales. Not even weekly. Look at your sales monthly - when the bills are due. You will save your stomach some ulcers and in the end, you will see that the month wasn't as bad as you might have thought. Way to go!!! I hope your Rusty Rooster is crowing up a storm with pride! Most importantly - have fun!
Love and support,
Elizabeth
Everything looks wonderful in your shop. I love the screen door!! Have an old one on our side porch and we love the 'slam' it makes when someone comes in or out. I think that comes with having an old screen door! If you have a chance, stop by & comment on my blog for the upcoming give-away on May 26th!

You have a lovely shop. I found you via Elizabeths blog, and am so glad I did. I am a new shop owner myself, but I haven't quit my office job yet, so I am currently only selling online. I look forward to reading your adventures and advice!
XOXO,
Sara
Hey! I hooked up with you via Eliabeth. Isn't she great? I will be opening a shop in a few weeks and will link up to you when I start my blog. Love your shop! Good Luck!!!
Your shop is adorable. I know how you feel...I just took over running shop (with my shop inside) and business is slow getting started. I'm sure the gas prices right now are no help....
Good luck with your new store. I'm adding you to may favorites. My shop blog is here http://oldcityhallshoppes.blogspot.com/
Looks absolutely darling! I LOVE the scrolly metal sofa!
